pp. 97–107 (Czech), 107–108 (English)

Decorative workshops, which played an important role in the shapint of public space through the decoration of architecture, experienced a boom at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. At the same time, however, they created a highly competitive environment in which individual workshops often emerged and quickly disappeared. This paper traces the paths that led to the entrepreneurial success of sculpture and stucco firms, including both the technological and business practices.
