Planetary history. The Anthropocene and the aesthetics of disaster
pp. 343–349, (Czech), Summary 348 (English), 349 (Deutsch)
This paper deals with the currently often used key concept of the Anthropocene, presenting associated discussions on its history, aesthetics and natural-cultural dualism. The text conceives the Anthropocene as a key term that forms the basis for a distinctive conceptual apparatus which can also be used in the history and philosophy of art. The author examines the concept of the Anthropocene both as the convergence of historical and geological time and as a proposed accelerationist aesthetics attempting to deal with issues, the representation of which is dealt with by the Anthropocene concept, whether in political, symbolic or non-cognitive terms.
